Meet Cassie

IMG_0061_edited.jpg

I am originally from the West Coast, Puyallup, Washington, to be exact.  I went to cosmetology school in Georgia (I moved around a lot), and six states later, I call the DMV my home. My faith is important to me -- it keeps me grounded and focused on what matters. I am a mother to a beautiful curly-haired boy, and an aunt to the cutest curly-haired babes, who have all taught me so much about myself and the world.

I have been doing hair for 10 years and continue to perfect my craft by regularly learning and growing. It’s not uncommon that I travel to various hair courses two to three weeks each year. I specialize in a multitude of dry haircutting techniques for straight and textured hair. I combine many techniques acquired from DevaCurl, Ouidad, Bumble & Bumble, and “Lived-In” (TM) techniques by Anh Co Tran.  All these techniques create a completely customized, and signature look specific to you.

I am also a self-confessed blonde tress lover, and I obsess with all things blonde balayage. I even like to paint my own hair to ensure I reach that perfect shade of blonde. I want to help find your ideal shade, tailored to you. I am committed to making sure every person leaves my studio feeling their most confident and gorgeous self.

So let’s state the obvious...I don’t have curly hair. I get asked a lot why or how I got into specializing in curly hair. Here’s the truth; I wanted to master a technique that was new and foreign to me. A very talented stylist and friend once told me, “There is nothing more rewarding than to master a hair texture you weren’t born with.”

Learning about curly hair and how to help someone love their curls is a passion of mine. I want those who have curly hair (and my curly hair babes) to come to embrace their curly nature and to have confidence in knowing they are beautiful on their own separate journey.
